Privacy Policy

Myvent (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the Myvent Telegram bots (@myventservicebot and @MyventVendorBot) and the associated Mini App at myvent-telegram.vercel.app. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

1. What we collect

  • Your Telegram ID, display name and username (when you interact with our bots)
  • Phone numbers you choose to share for service coordination
  • Service request details you submit (category, description, location area, photos, budget)
  • Vendor business information: SSM number, business name, coverage area, portfolio photos
  • Payment metadata from Stripe (we never store card numbers)
  • Platform usage data: leads unlocked, quotes sent, transactions, ratings

2. How we use it

  • To match user requests with relevant vendors
  • To process wallet top-ups, lead unlocks, credit packs, and promotions
  • To prevent fraud and abuse (e.g. detect duplicate referrals)
  • To send you service-related messages via Telegram
  • To improve our product using aggregate analytics

3. How we share it

We share your contact details with a vendor only after that vendor pays a lead unlock fee. Vendors may store your contact for the purpose of completing the service you requested. We do not sell your data to third parties. Payment data is processed by Stripe under their own terms. Supabase (our database provider) hosts your data in their Tokyo region.

4. How long we keep it

  • Request photos: deleted 3 months after the request closes
  • Chat sessions: deleted 90 days after inactivity
  • Financial records (transactions, Stripe events): retained 7 years for tax compliance
  • User account: retained until you request deletion

5. Your rights under PDPA

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Withdraw consent for promotional communications

To exercise these rights, open a support request via /feedback → Get Support inside either bot, and choose the relevant option. We will respond within 14 working days.

6. Children

Myvent is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in both bots.
